changes!
-added a space background (taken from martinsh’s atmospheric scattering demo)
-added generated Stardust to keep orientation. (easyemit)

The Moon like planet was made by me. feel free to use it
big texture no relief mapping for now.

The stardust:
I added 6 Particle emitter made with easyemit to create stardust
wich will help you not to loose orientation.

here’s a quick update on the leaves. I added 2 shape keys to the leaf to get the bending going.

you should download it and give it a try.

i had some fun with it.

i converted the curves to a mesh and added vertex groups so i can use it with my hair particles.

Also i added particlesystems for the different growstyles of the leaves.

Hello world,

today i made some leaves

tell me what you think.

The Blender 2.5 growkit is not a tree generator but it will be a powerful and easy way to make both low and highpoly trees with a lot of control!

i use rig’d branches so i can move and scale them very easy.

The leaf’s are placed using hair particles and vertexgroups

my idea is to make a library of leaf’s and branches

and then share the blend. file so everyone can enjoy some nice looking trees (or weeds)

the picture above is just a preview of how the library could look like i used pictures from different sources,

i have to ask them if i can use these images plus i will make some on my own soon.
